Celebrating Our Students' Achievements at the YDSP Congress 2025
On 25 Apr 2025, our students participated in the Young Defence Scientists Programme (YDSP) Congress, an annual event organised by the Defence Science and Technology Agency (DSTA) to celebrate student achievements in science and technology. This year's congress was a proud moment for our school as several of our students were recognised for their outstanding performance and potential in STEM.

DSTA JC Scholarship Recipients
The DSTA Junior College (JC) Scholarship is awarded to first-year JC or
equivalent Integrated Programme (IP) students in the science stream, in
recognition of strong academic results, active CCA participation, and a
passion for science and technology.

Beyond receiving scholarships, several HCI students also presented their research posters developed under the Research@YDSP programme.
A special commendation goes to Jethro Chai Tsin Kai (25S6H), who presented his research project developed in collaboration with teammates from NUS High School and Raffles Institution.
In addition, Boyce Ang Kok Hong (25S6G) and his team were selected to share their learning experience from the YDSP World of Science, an outreach event aimed at igniting interest in defence science. Their presentation was attended by Senior Minister of State for Defence Mr Heng Chee How, making the experience all the more memorable.
