Position: Director, Organisational Excellence
The Director of Organisational Excellence is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance overall organisational performance and foster a culture of innovation and excellence. This role focuses on assessing, analysing, and recommending improvements across the school's operations, working in close collaboration with the school leadership and executive team to align initiatives with the school's strategic goals.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning and Implementation:
• Leverage upon research and worldwide scans to develop and execute an organisational excellence strategy aligned with the school's vision and goals
• Identify areas for improvement and implement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
2. Strategic Performance Assessment:
• Develop methodologies to assess overall organisational excellence, for aspects of school’s focus
• Design a framework for gathering and analysing data from various school functions
• Create metrics that reflect progress in key areas, aligned with school priorities
• Synthesise data to provide insights into the school's performance in organisational excellence
• Present strategic reports with data-driven recommendations to senior leadership, with insights that inform strategic decision-making and resource allocation
3. Process Enhancement:
• Conduct internal and external benchmarking to identify best practices for reference
• Identify and evaluate key processes impacting organisational excellence
• Recommend innovative approaches to enhance overall effectiveness
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to address school-wide process challenges
• Develop metrics to measure impact of process improvements that will feedback to performance assessment of organisational excellence
4. Foster a Culture of Innovation:
• Develop strategies to embed innovation in the school's culture and practices
• Identify opportunities for innovative approaches to enhance organisational excellence
5. Change Leadership:
• Advise school leadership on the school's readiness for organisational changes, the potential barriers, and approaches to overcome them
• Support school leadership in developing change communication strategies
• Gather ongoing feedback during change implementation, informing continuous improvements
6. Resource Optimisation:
• Analyse and recommend strategies for optimisation of human, financial and physical resources required to support organizational excellence initiatives
• Collaborate with the Finance department to analyse the financial impact of excellence initiatives
Requirements:
1. Education and Professional Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Organisational Development, Education Management, or a related field
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in leading organisational excellence, change management, or related roles, preferably with experience in the education sector
• Professional certifications in relevant areas such as Lean Six Sigma, Project Management, data analysis would be advantageous

Position: School Counsellor
Duties & Responsibilities
The School Counsellor is responsible for the counselling and guidance programme at Hwa Chong Institution. The School Counsellor’s duties include but are not limited to the following:
Job Description:
1. Counselling Students
a. provide direct counselling intervention for students in the High School Section, and, where needed, in the College Section
b. be a valuable team member of the HS Well-Being Centre and collaborate with other counsellors in designing and implementing a coherent system of counselling and well-being approaches
c. coordinate with the Case Management Team in providing timely support for students who need counselling
d. make home visits for students who are unable to come to school
2. Working with Staff
a. provide consultations for staff in managing students with academic, behavioural, and emotional issues
b. provide and source for counselling training & other workshops for staff to strengthen their affective skills
c. collaborate with relevant staff teams to set up upstream prevention strategies
3. Working with Parents
a. provide consultations for parents in managing students with academic, behavioural, and emotional issues
b. conduct and/or coordinate workshops for parents to align their expectations with the school’s and to strengthen their parenting skills
4. School Duties
a. provide counselling support in the event of school emergencies as a member of the Caring Action in Response to Emergencies (CARE) team
b. coordinate and collaborate with the Student Development Team in the design and implementation of the Peer Support programme
5. Curriculum Design and Implementation
a. collaborate with Student Development Team members in the design and implementation of a guidance curriculum in the High School Section
b. work with the Student Development Team in designing and implementing programmes to promote students’ social and emotional growth
6. Any other duty as assigned by the Reporting Officer, Deans, Deputy Principal or Principal
The School Counsellor’s expertise and primary duties are to provide counselling
services to the school. However, the School Counsellor is also an integral
member of the Student Development Team, and would be actively involved
in the programmes pertaining to students’ affective development.
Position: Assistant Manager, Strategic Engagement & Communications
The Assistant Manager manages and supports the HCI Strategic Engagement & Communications team administratively. He/She will co-develop and implement strategies to enhance the school’s branding, partnerships and outreach with key stakeholders, ensuring all aspects of internal and external communications via various platforms are aligned to school’s vision and priorities.
Enhance Institutional Branding:

Collaborate to create and execute innovative strategies that elevate the school’s brand and outreach efforts.

Organize and execute events that highlight the school’s strategic strengths

Working with School Leaders and SEC team to ensure consistency in branding across all communication platforms and materials, with alignment with the school’s vision and priorities.

Support crisis situations with poise and strategic communication to protect and manage the school's reputation.
Content Creation:

Coordinate and produce compelling content that resonates with the school's diverse audience, including students, parents, alumni, and the broader community.

Co-create communication packages tailored for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective messaging.

Develop and build publicity materials, including brochures, newsletters, and digital content, that support the school’s branding efforts.
Outreach & Partnerships Management:

Cultivate and strengthen ties with partners and stakeholders to advance the school’s strategic goals and network.

Organize and host visits from external stakeholders, ensuring a memorable and effective experience that highlights the school’s offerings.

Deliver presentations at outreach and engagement sessions
Media Relations:

Develop and maintain relationships with key media contacts.

Act as the primary liaison between the organization and the media, ensuring timely and accurate communication.

Scan and monitor media contents to identify opportunities for positive coverage and address any potential issues.

Organize and manage press conferences, media coverage, and interviews where needed.

Curate and manage a diverse range of corporate gifts for the school, ensuring that they reflect the school’s brand

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field

Minimum 5 years of experience in communications, public relations or a related role, preferably within an educational institution

Track record of successful branding campaigns would be a plus.

Position: Assistant Manager of Human Resources
Job Descriptions:
Hiring Strategies:
· Develop and implement robust talent acquisition strategies to attract high-quality candidates.
· Ensure hiring processes are aligned with business needs and organizational goals.
· Leverage data analytics to refine hiring processes and enhance the candidate experience.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
· Partner with department heads and other key stakeholders (including MOE) to understand workforce requirements and plan hiring activities accordingly.

· Support hiring managers in making informed recruitment decisions.
Recruitment and Selection:

· Manage WICA and Work Pass applications
· Prompt review of SOPs and update as needed.

Requirements:
· A good Degree in HR or any discipline
· Strong knowledge in Talent Acquisition / HR Business Partnering is preferred
· Candidates should have 2-3 years managerial experience.
